Last night, Le Marais opened their upstairs private-events room to NYC food bloggers, critics, and journalists in honor of their new cookbook launch. Guests socialized while sampling some of the tastiest recipes from the new cookbook, including a minty corn chowder topped with veal bacon, slow braised brisket and their famous crunchy french fries. Chef Mark Hennessey and owner Jose Meirelles were proud to release this amazing collaboration that is guaranteed to bring unique flavors of Europe to your own kitchen.
A special appearance from Senator Joe Lieberman solidified the success of the cookbook launch at Le Marais. A frequent diner, Senator Lieberman and his wife Hadassa lit up the room and mingled with all the guests. The KosherGuru was another famous guest, whose claim to fame is through his well known Instagram blog. He too was proud to make an appearance at such a successful event. Working the room, the KosherGuru took photos (including one with Senator Liebermann) with his baseball hat that read #KOSHERGURU.
We’re also excited to give a shout-out to Elan Kornblum and Great Kosher Restaurants. It was great to be able host such a consistent and loyal friend at Le Marais.
We also had representation from the Daily Forward, Tablet Magazine, the Jewish Press, and the Jewish Week, one of the most well-known Jewish papers in New York City. Journalists and bloggers were impressed by the wonderfully written cookbook and beautifully taken photos by Owner Jose Meirelles son, Мartim. Glancing through the cookbook each guest OOed and AHHed at the tasty Le Marais recipes that they can now bring to life in the comfort of their own home. As everyone wined and dined into the night, one thing became clear to them: Kosher cooking would never be the same.
