Public Relations Coordinator:

HeraldPR, a full service public relations firm in NYC, is looking for a passionate, ambitious and motivated member to join our growing team! Our Account Coordinator will have the opportunity to hone professional public relations skills while working on a number of different clients in various industries. Previous coursework and/or internships experience required. We are seeking candidates who would be available to start immediately.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team in development and maintenance of media lists

  • Strong phone and pitching ability

  • Maintain and update files, including client clip books, placement folders, press kits, etc.

  • Assist with drafting documents, including agendas, press releases, media advisories, bylines, etc.

  • Contribute to team sessions to develop strategic/creative thinking for clients

  • Be able to communicate effectively in all written and verbal reports

  • Various research, responsibilities and projects as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations or related field

  • Previous work or internship experience in PR required

  • Must be able to work in a team

  • Creative and energetic personality

  • Working understanding of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe

Public Relations Manager:

Responsibilities:

  • Draft pitch letters, press releases and media advisories and create targeted media lists for all mediums

  • Daily proactive media outreach, pitching targeted outlets, including broadcast, print and online

  • Write and edit media materials such as media alerts, fact sheets, bios, and case studies

  • Daily client interaction to update, report and discuss ongoing initiatives

  • Responsible for daily account management activities, including reviewing agendas, recaps and activity reports, making sure they’re ready for final review

  • Facilitate and/or attend all media interviews with reporters

  • Assist with event coordination and media outreach for events

  • Pitch new business and assist with research and writing of new business proposals

  • Contribute to team sessions to develop strategic/creative thinking for clients

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations or related field

  • 2-3 years PR experience required

  • Must be able to work in a team

  • Creative and energetic personality

  • Must be able to juggle multiple accounts simultaneously

  • Working understanding of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe
